The movie Insidious 2 just came out on September 13, 2013 and is now playing in theatres all around the world. This supernatural horror movie seems to be a hit with people under 25 making up 65% of ticket holders and 19% under the age of 18. The CinemaScore graded it a B+ in the horror title category. Insidious 2 has the same returning actors as the first one with Patrick Wilson, husband Josh, and Rose Byrne, wife Renai, staring as the two main characters of the film.

            “I loved how the same actors who were in Insidious one was in the second one. It made it that much easier to understand the movie.” Chelsey Grau emphasized on her review of the movie.

            The first Insidious left off after husband Josh did not make it back in time from the spiritual world to save his son. However on the way back, a parasite takes over his body and kills the ghost whisperer Elise. This is exactly where the sequel picks up. The movie starts out with Renai at the police department while her husband is being accused of being the killer. The family then leaves their house and moves in with Lorrainne, Renai’s mother, and this is where the rest of the movie takes place.

            This movie sums up a lot of the mysteries that happened in the first Insidious. It also helps to explain about the spiritual world that they talked about in the first movie. This movie is filled with freaky, bone shaking scenes that will make you jump out of your seat. Even though this movie is very scary, it also has a great story line that makes it very interesting to watch. If you didn’t watch Insidious yet you would not be at a total loss during the sequel. The movie will have a different meaning to you, since there are scenes that go back and explain the first movie.

            “I was terrified during some of the parts of this movie” Christian Ross explained after he watched Insidious 2. “Even though I never watched the first Insidious, I still understood the movie completely fine, surprisingly.” Ross also added.

            After watching this movie, I would rate it a 10 out of 10. Not only was it super scary, but it also made me more interested as it unfolded a great story and plot unlike most supernatural movies.
